Men’s Outdoor
1st Team
Our 1st XI compete in the Scottish Premiership, the top division in Scotland. We have been a mainstay in this division since winning promotion in 2006.
The squad reached the Scottish Cup final in 2022 for the first time and did it again in 2025. For the past two seasons, they have achieved a top 6 finish in the Premiership.

2nd Team
The 2nd XI compete in Regional League 1 against some of the best second teams in the country. Hillhead won this division in 2022/23 with an undefeated season! They also won the District Cup in 2023 before making the final again in both 2024 and 2025, just falling short on those occasions.

3rd Team
The 3rd team finished in third place in West District 1 in 2024/25. A squad comprised mostly of young adults provides an excellent blend of competitive hockey and a thriving social scene!

4th Team
The 4th team compete in West District 1 and finished 5th in the 2024/25 season. As the most senior development team in the club, the 4th team boasts a number of youngsters who play excellent hockey and will likely continue to move further up the club.

5A Team
The 5A team played in West District 2 in 2024/25 but were unfortunately relegated and will play in West District 3 next season.

5B Team
The 5B team play in West District 2 and were just pipped to the league title in 2024/25, finishing in a very strong second place in the league. They will surely look to go one better next season in WD2.

6th Team
The 6th team play in West District 3, an excellent league for beginners and experienced players alike. The 6th team are the middle of the development squads at the club and take in players from the 8th team and release them to the 4th team! They finished a respectable 3rd place in 2024/25.

7th Team
The 7th team plays in West District 4. Featuring plenty of experience and also acting as a great introduction to new adults finding themselves playing hockey for the first time, the 7th team finished 6th in the league in 2024/25.

8th Team
The 8th team are the newest and youngest of the development teams at Hillhead, providing players from our juniors section with their first introduction to adult hockey. This is combined with a core group of adults who help develop and mentor the youngsters. The 8th team finished 4th in West District 4 in 2024/25.
